Big Island Film Festival announces 2013 awards

The 8th Annual Big Island Film Festival announced winners Monday at The Fairmont Orchid, chosen from 54 Official Selections from Hawaii and around the world.

Having just won acclaim and an award at Cannes, the multi-cultural romance “Chasing Shakespeare,” starring Danny Glover, took top honors for Best Feature as well as Audience Choice Feature.

“Chasing Shakespeare” was the featured film Monday night at BIFF’s “Best of the Fest” event, along with Audience Choice short film “Good Dog.”
