Kona burglary, theft reports (April 19-26)

MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers April 19-26.

BURGLARIES

No reported burglaries this week.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

On April 21, a reported UCPV in the 5800 block of Alii Dr., a white 1996 Toyota Rav 4 Mpvh with Lic# HXA587 was taken.

On April 21, a reported UCPV in the 5600 block of Kuakini Hwy., a blue 1995 Honda Civic with Lic# GCP658 was taken.

On April 21, a reported UCPV in the 900 of Kee Kee St., a black 2006 Suzuki VS1400 Motorcycle with Lic# 698HNR was taken. The motorcycle has been recovered.

On April 21, a reported UCPV in the 7100 block of Mamalahoa Hwy., a gold/black Honda ruckus with Unknown License plates was taken.

UEMV (THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

On April 19, a reported UEMV in the 5600 block of Kuakini Hwy., a camera and wallet with contents were taken.

On April 20, a reported UEMV in the 5600 block of Kuakini Hwy., a computer, underwater camera and camera equipment were taken.

On April 20, a reported UEMV in the 6200 block of Alii Dr., Dive equipment taken.

On April 21, a reported UEMV in the 6000 block of Hi Belt Rd., U.S. currency taken.

On April 21, a reported UEMV in the 5800 block of Alii Dr., rear window damaged, electronics taken.

On April 23, a reported UEMV in the Honaunau Beach Rd. area, checkbooks and credit cards taken.

On April 21, a reported UEMV in the 6000 block of Hi Belt Rd., rear window damaged.

UPCOMING EVENT

National Police Week is scheduled for the week of May 12-18. Police host a program 10 a.m. May 14 at the Kealakehe Police Station to remember those in the law enforcement field for their service and dedication.
