Celebrate Your Family, Celebrating Ohana (April 27)

What: Celebrate Your Family – Cherish the Child
When: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 27
Where: Sangha Hall, Hilo

The whole family is invited to attend the 9th annual Celebrate Your Family. This is free event. There will be lots of fun games, activities, crafts, prizes, and food.

Don’t miss the opportunity for the keiki to meet, Dr. Health E. Hound.

Get your keiki’s eyes checked with free vision screening for children provided by the Akaka Falls Lion’s Club.

Keiki ID will also be available. If you have questions about your child safety seat, Hilo Medical Center will help make sure you have the right seat for your keiki, and that the seat is installed properly.

The event is presented by the East Hawaii Coalition to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect whose mission is to empower the community to keep children safe from child abuse and neglect.

Also in recognition of April’s designation as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Neighborhood Place of Kona is hosts Celebrating Ohana.

This free, family-centered event offers community resources, activities for keiki, entertainment by children and adult community members, stew or vegetarian chili bowl, and door prizes donated by Kona merchants.
