Hall of Honor nomination being accepted for 2013 class

The HHSAA is now accepting applications for its 2013 class of inductees for the Hawaii High School Hall of Honor.

Twelve senior student-athletes will be inducted after a thorough selection process May 18-19 by a 15-person committee of athletic directors, administrators, coaches and members of the media.

The formal induction will take place at a Hall of Honor awards banquet June 9 at the Sheraton Waikiki. The program, originally known as the Nissan Hall of Honor, is now in its 31st year.

Selection criteria is based primarily on athletic achievement with character, academic record and community service also taken into consideration.

All applications and supporting material must be sent to the HHSAA office at P.O. Box 62029, Honolulu, HI 96839 and postmarked by Tuesday, April 30, 2013.
