Kona burglary, theft reports (March 23-28)

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers March 23-28.

BURGLARIES

On March 24, a reported burglary in the 6100 Block of Hawaii Belt Road, a Toshiba laptop taken.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

No UCPV reported this week.

UEMV(THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

On March 24, a reported UEMV at Honokohau Harbor. Male, age 15, attempted to steal a car battery from a parked vehicle.

On March 24, a reported UEMV at Kona Shores, a Kenwood AM/FM CD Radio taken.

THEFT

On March 24, a reported theft at Lanihau Shopping Center, U.S. currency taken from a newspaper vending machine.

On March 18, a reported theft at Verizon Wireless, a white Samsung Galaxy Note 2 cell phone taken.

On March 26, a reported theft at Kona Pier, an Ironman draw string bag taken.
