Liko Ae Native Hawaii Leadership Program scholarships

Liko Ae Native Hawaiian Leadership Program is now accepting applications for those of Hawaiian ancestry wanting to pursue college degrees from accredited schools throughout Hawaii and U.S.

With funding made possible by the U.S. Department of Education, Title VII(B) Native Hawaiian Education Act, and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Native Hawaiian students pursuing vocational and higher education degrees from associates to doctorates are eligible to apply for these funds.

Since 2003, Liko Ae has successfully supported more than 2,000 college students pursuing a diverse range of degree programs. This year, in addition to providing financial scholarships, Liko Ae’s Leadership Program will require students to participate in mentoring programs, focused community service projects, and online community building.

These wrap-around services will provide a proven support system for students as they advance toward their academic goals.

The deadline for this application is 4 p.m. May 1.

Applicants will be required to answer two essay questions, submit their Student Aid Report from the FAFSA and an official transcript, and provide proof of Native Hawaiian ancestry.
