Philippine Consulate outreach in Kona (March 16-17)

MEDIA RELEASE

The Philippine Consulate Outreach Team will be in Kona this weekend.

The team will be available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 16 and 8 a.m.-noon Sunday, March 17 at West Hawaii Civic Center.

The Consulate will be available to process Philippine passport renewal and accept applications for notary service, authentication of documents, reports of birth and marriage, dual citizenship and other consular services.

Also, oath taking ceremonies for dual citizens are at 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.

Most consular services require personal appearance so applicants typically must travel to Honolulu for passport applications and renewals. The Consular Outreach allows neighbor island applicants to avoid travel expenses that would otherwise be incurred by having to travel to Honolulu to submit applications in person.

For further information, call the Philippine Consulate at (808) 595-6316 or visit: www.philippineshonolulu.org
