Libraries offers alternative website to access services

MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaii State Public Library System’s (HSPLS) website: www.librarieshawaii.org is temporarily down due to technical difficulties.

The IT staff is currently working to restore the system’s domain name. In the meantime, patrons can call or visit their local library for assistance.

The HSPLS website, which receives approximately 4,000 visits per day, provides 24/7 access to the library system’s electronic resources and Public Access Catalog.

The following online services are currently available at an alternative web address: http://hawaii.sdp.sirsi.net:

* Public Access Catalog
* eBooks
* Digital audio books
* Ed2Go
* HSPLS IT Academy

Patrons may renew their materials in person or over the phone if there are no hold requests for the item. Have your library card and materials available when you renew: on Oahu call 586-3652, Neighbor Island residents may call toll-free at 1-800-820-7368.

For reference assistance or other library matters: on Oahu call 586-3621; Neighbor Island residents may call toll-free at 1-800-390-3611 or call any public library.

Staff apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate the public’s patience, understanding, and continued patronage.
