Expect traffic delays due to military convoys Friday and Sunday (Feb 1 & 3)

Hilo-based military units will convoy from Keaukaha Military Reservation (KMR) to Pōhakuloa Training Area (PTA) on Friday, Feb. 1 between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The unit will redeploy from Pōhakuloa Training Area to Keaukaha Military Reservation on Sunday Feb. 3 between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has continued the winter weather advisory for the summits of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea above 8,000 feet through 12 noon today (Jan 30). Mauna Kea rangers report Mauna Kea Access Road is open to the public.
