Kahele makes donation to the KAPA Keiki Food Truck

MEDIA RELEASE

Big Island singer/songwriter Kuana Torres Kahele, the most nominated artist for the 2012 Na Haku Hanohano Awards, has donated $1,000 to the KAPA Keiki Food Truck to feed Big Island youngsters during the upcoming winter school break.

During a benefit concert at Keauhou Shopping Center sponsored by KAPA Hawaiian FM, Kahele performed songs from his latest CD “Hilo for the Holidays” to raise money to feed keiki who are on a school meal program and go without breakfast and lunch on the days school is not in session.

KAPA Hawaiian FM has established Support the Keiki Fund in partnership with the Hawaii Island United Way as a charitable organization to help kids on the island throughout the year in numerous ways.

The KAPA Keiki Food Truck will help the Salvation Army with the lunch delivery to at least 1,000 kids a week during the upcoming winter school break.
