Sen. Josh Green, Mayor Billy Kenoi, county deputy managing director Wally Lau and incoming County Council member Dru Kanuha were among the men who took part in the YWCA whY-Walk in Kona and Hilo on Saturday, Aug. 25

The annual men’s march to stop rape, sexual assault and family violence raises funds for community programs.

“Violence against women is wrong. I walk in this walk every year for my mother, for my wife, for my daughter, and for my five sisters,” Kenoi said. “Mahalo to the YWCA of Hawaii Island for all that they do to care for our families.”
