Zepponi selected as Vulcan’s assistant men’s basketball coach

Zach Zepponi has been selected the men’s basketball assistant coach effective August 2, 2012 announced University of Hawaii at Hilo Head Coach Jeff Law.

“Zach is familiar with the many of the areas we recruit and those players that are there,” said Law. “That should provide for a smooth transition into our program for all of us.”

Zepponi comes to UH Hilo from California State San Marcos University, where he served as an assistant coach during the 2011-12 season. His collegiate coaching career began at Santa Barbara City College (CA), where he coached post-players for two seasons (2009-11).

He has also served as a coach in camps at Purdue University, Stanford University, University of Minnesota, Long Beach State and UC Santa Barbara. He’s also participated in the Nothin’ But Net Basketball Camp and Big House Hoops.

He holds a bachelor from Antioch University (2010) and a master from Concordia University (2012).
