Denny’s is once again welcoming ‘Project Compassion’ to benefit a Big Island cause.

Customers who eat at Denny’s in Kona between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday, July 29 will be helping Habitat for Humanity West Hawaii.

Ahead of its Blitz Build in September, Habitat for Humanity and Rotary Club of Kona are raising funds to build five new homes in 10 days.

Rotary has agreed to sponsor one of the Blitz Build houses and will be handing over a check for $85,000 to the honorary chairman Mayor Billy Kenoi, who also will be serving as a celebrity waiter.
