Estate planning, gift giving seminar (July 18 & 19)

The Salvation Army in partnership with West Hawaii Community Health Center and Habitat for Humanity West Hawaii invites the public to attend a free estate planning and charitable giving seminar.

This free educational seminar will explore estate and gift planning in plain English, take a look at Hawaii’s new estate tax, and explore vital legal issues many people overlook.

Each seminar will include a meal and the West Hawaii Community Health Center, The Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity encourages families and friends to attend this worthwhile seminar. No solicitations will be made at the seminar. Seating is limited so reservations are necessary.

West Hawaii Community Health Center

The mission of the West Hawaii Community Health Center is to make quality, comprehensive and integrated health services accessible to all regardless of income.

West Hawaii Community Health Care Center serves Hawaii Island residents at offices in Kailua-Kona and Kealakekua. A Dental Mobile Van is also stationed at Hope Services in Kailua-Kona.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church, has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination since 1865, providing an array of social services for the underserved and underprivileged.

Three Corps community centers offer services in Kailua-Kona, Honokaa, and Hilo, and the Family Intervention Services, which provides social services to adolescents in East, West, and North communities.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat For Humanity West Hawaii is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Its mission is to empower families and build community and hope through home ownership for low income partner families.

Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate safe, decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Our Restore at 73-5576 Kauhola St., Kailua-Kona sells new and gently used home improvement products at a large discount.
