Matson launches redesigned, expanded website

We have launched a newly redesigned website that significantly upgrades the “look and feel” of www.matson.com.

The new look of matson.com reinforces Matson’s mission: To provide our customers with an efficient, reliable service of superior quality and value.

The primary purpose of Matson’s website is to provide a vital customer portal that allows easy, convenient access to a wide range of shipment management information and e-commerce capabilities.

The new design features improved rollover menu bars that allow customers to easily locate information about our full range of ocean services and logistics capabilities.

The enhanced website also introduces new sections related to Matson, Inc. (NYSE: MATX) becoming a publicly traded company June 29.

As communicated to our customers when the separation plan from Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. was announced Dec. 1, 2011, the change in corporate structure will not result in any changes to our operations or services, or the people with whom you do business.

Matson Navigation Company will become a subsidiary of Matson, Inc. and will remain the operating company of the organization. Similarly, there will be no changes to Matson Logistics’ operations or services.

As a result of this transition, matson.com now has an investor relations component, providing online access to information about Matson for stockholders, potential investors and analysts.

The site will be updated regularly to communicate current stock information, SEC filings, financial reports, events and presentations and other investor relations matters. In addition, the site features a corporate governance section.

Another addition to our website is a section about the Matson Foundation. This area is currently a “work in progress,” as we are in the process of establishing our charitable giving program.

More information on that initiative will be added to our website in the coming month.

The important point here is that we plan to continue the tradition of giving to the communities we serve, not only through community service activities but through financial contributions, which historically we have been supported through the A&B Foundation.

We hope you enjoy the new look and enhanced access options of this redesigned website. It is part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with a website that delivers a wide range of shipment information management tools that are timely, efficient and easy to use.
