West Hawaii Dance Theatre announces its Summer Fun Dance Camp for children ages 5 to 10 years.
Students will be introduced to a variety of classes, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, street jazz,hula, and performing arts.
This is a great introduction to the various dance forms for beginners, as well as students with some experience.
A variety of fun, dance-themed crafts round out the session. Be sure to bring a snack and drink.
Camp runs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 25 to June 28. Cost $185.

Lead instructor is Jeanne Kapela, who recently graduated from Konaweana High School and has studied at West Hawaii Dance Theatre since the age of 7.
Since that time, she was accepted and studied some of the countries most prestigious dance school summer programs, including Ballet Hawaii, San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.
As a seasoned performer, Kapela has danced many leading roles for West Hawaii Dance Theatre & Academy, most recently as “Alice” in “Alice in Wonderland” at the Aloha Theatre.
