PÅŒHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, Hawaii— Hilo-based military units will convoy from Keaukaha Military Reserve (KMR) to PÅhakuloa Training Area (PTA) on May 30-31 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The unit will redeploy from PÅhakuloa Training Area to Keaukaha Military Reserve June 12-13 between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The convoys will travel via Hilo Airport Road, Kanoelehua Avenue Highway 11, West Puainako Street, Komohana Avenue, Puainako Extension Route 2000 and Saddle Road Highway 200.
The convoys will not have Hawaii Police Department escorts from KMR to PTA but will have escort vehicles front and rear.
The convoys will have HPD escorts front and rear during their return trip from PÅhakuloa to Hilo on June 12 and 13. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.
The PTA Department of Army police are working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate this activity in support of unit training.
