Presentation on preventing agricultural theft (May 24)

MEDIA RELEASE

County deputy prosecutor Mitchell Roth will speak on agricultural crime and preventing theft 2-4 p.m. Thursday, May 24.

This presentation, to be held at the CTAHR Office, 79-7384 Mamalahoa Highway in Kealakekua, will cover theft cases, criminal property damage cases, and trespass cases.

Roth will also cover landowner liability, sales and transfer documentation and what is required by law.

In addition, strategies being pursued to prevent agricultural crimes including coffee theft and counterfeiting will be discussed.

The Kona Coffee Farmers Association is sponsoring the presentation, which is free and open to all.
