Unseeded Hilo toppled Punahou 5-3 in its opening game at the Division I state baseball championships Tuesday on Oahu.
On Wednesday, Hilo takes on No. 1 seed Kailua, while No. 3 seed Waiakea begins its campaign against Castle.
Meawhile, Division II action also begins Wednesday, with two Big Island teams making their debuts.
No. 4 Kamehameha Schools Hawaii takes on Kalaheo and unseeded Konawaena faces No. 2 Waipahu.
