Arakawa will be joined by New York restaurateur, author and 2012 semi-finalist for Best Chef New York, Jonathan Waxman, and the dynamic brother team of Bruce and Eric Bromberg, founders and guiding forces behind the world-recognized Blue Ribbon Restaurants Group, which offers eclectic dining concepts throughout New York and now Las Vegas.

Arakawa’s menu will showcase the best and freshest Hawaii Island ingredients including his signature Ahi Poisson Cru with coconut, lime and chili pepper and Shoyu and Sake Braised Pork Belly with spiced chicharrón and wilted greens with miso butter.

Each course of the $150 per head dinner ($140 for Visa Signature cardholders) will be presented by a different chef and matched to complementary wines and beers.

“I am very proud to represent Hawaii and to showcase the abundance of superior ingredients that we grow and raise right here on Hawaii Island. My dishes will be simple, yet unique, creating a harmonious balance of textures and flavors on the plate. When you work with such high quality ingredients, you don’t need to do all that much to them – it’s truly about letting the ingredients shine through,” Arakawa said.

The Celebrity Chef Tour benefits the James Beard Foundation, whose mission is to “celebrate, preserve and nurture America’s diverse culinary heritage and future.” To date, the Celebrity Chef Tour has raised more than $950,000 for the James Beard Foundation.
