Hawaii Island Hoops unveils camp video

Hawaii 24/7 Staff

Hawaii Island Hoops helps high school student-athletes achieve their goals through sports and education. All programs such as camps, clinics and college-prep programs focus on providing a positive outlet for our kids by providing them with the tools, resources, and understanding to succeed.

Hawaii Island Hoops President and Director Andy Smith is also a former University of Hawaii at Hilo Vulcan basketball standout. He was a two-year starter who led his team as the shooting guard in the mid-90’s.

After many honors and records, Andy founded Hawaii Island Hoops to give back to young student athletes and help them achieve their dreams of someday playing college basketball and getting a college degree.

The non-profit organization has helped send many unsung high school student-athletes – from the Big Island, Oahu, Kauai, and Maui – to junior colleges, NAIA, and Division II NCAA schools.

Hawaii Island Hoops is the foremost leader in Hawaii, helping aspiring college-bound student-athletes achieve their goals through the most comprehensive college-prep basketball camp in the state.

Hawaii Island Hoops programs focus on fundamental training in shooting, ball handling, footwork, passing, offenses and defenses. Our College-Prep Basketball Camp will provide each camper with a Reversible Jersey, Shorts, T-shirt, basketball, all-meals included, college-prep handbook, Hapuna Beach trip… and a week of fun!

This year’s camp begins June 4.
