Healthcare training at KCH in April

Kona Community Hospital is offering Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers on April 9 and April 23. The four-hour class is 8 a.m.-noon and 12:30-4:30 p.m. Classes are located in KCH’s Conference Room 3.

This course is geared toward healthcare providers including physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, EMT’s and individuals working in healthcare.

KCH will also have one PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Update Renewal Course. It is scheduled 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21 in KCH’s Conference Room 2 and 3.

It is designed to update healthcare providers with the knowledge and skilled needed treat seriously ill or injured children.

Prior PALS Provider Course completion is required within the last two years. In addition, demonstration of knowledge of Basic Life Support (CPR) skills will be required during the course.

All of these classes are open to the community.
