Water shut-off notice from Wainaku through Hilo, Waiakea and Keaukaha Wed-Thurs (March 28-29)

WATER SHUT OFF NOTICE

AFFECTED AREAS: All services along Wainaku Street from Kaiwiki Road Up to and including Wailuku Drive and all side streets; all services along Waiānuenue Avenue from Carvalho Park to Hawai‘i Belt Road, including Hāla‘i Street, Laimana Street, Kapi‘olani Street up to Mohouli Street, Ululani Street, Kino‘ole Street up to Mohouli Street, Keawe Street and all side streets; all services along Haili Street, ‘Alae Street, Ala Muku Street, Pu‘uhili Street, including Kamakahonu Street and ‘Elepaio Street; all services along Komohana Street from Waiānuenue Avenue to Mohouli Street, including Pu‘uhonu Place, Ponahawai Street, lower Kūkūau Street and all side streets; all services along Banyan Drive, including Banyan Way, Lihiwai Street, Keli‘ipio Place and Wailoa Drive; all services along Kalaniana‘ole Avenue from Kanoelehua Avenue to Leleiwi Street, including all side streets; South Hilo, Hawai’i

Water will be temporarily turned off in the above-mentioned area from 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, to 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012 to repair a leaking 16-inch main and install a 16-inch valve. Upon the resumption of water service, the waterlines will be flushed and cleaned, during which time you may notice turbid and/or discolored water. You may also notice trapped air in your plumbing, which will be released as you initially use water. Please pardon this temporary inconvenience.
