Green touts legislative highlights

From Sen. Josh Green:

I have been honored to serve West Hawaii in the state Legislature since 2004, and in the State Senate since 2008.

Eight years ago you first sent me to Honolulu to stand up and fight for your needs and priorities in state government. You sent me to get results for West Hawaii.

Working together over the past eight years, we have achieved great results for our community. We have succeeded in bringing more state resources to invest in our roads, schools, and hospitals than West Hawaii has seen in decades.

Together we have built new highways to carry our growing population, established a new courthouse to dispense justice, and founded a new community college to educate our young people. These projects will continue to create jobs, stimulate our economy, and strengthen our civic life for years to come.

Together we have suffered natural disasters, then united to rebuild our community after earthquakes and tsunamis.

Today our hospitals and clinics are stronger, our roads are wider and safer, and our schools receive the resources they need to teach a new generation of students.

I humbly ask for your support in this year’s election so I can continue to stand up for you and fight for your needs and priorities as your State Senator for District 3, stretching from Kona Airport in the north to Naalehu in the south, including Kailua-Kona, Kealakekua, Captain Cook, Honaunau, Milolii, and Ocean View.

Thank you for your kindness and support over the years, and thank you for the honor of allowing me to serve you in the State Senate.

Let’s keep working together to achieve even greater results for West Hawaii in the coming years.

Your Senator,
Josh Green M.D.
District 3, West Hawaii

  1. voter says:

Green opposes what the majority want, yet claims he is
“standing up and fighting for our needs and priorities in state government?” No one wants police to waste time and money busting pot smokers, and the majority of people on this island want marijuana decriminalized–yet he stands up and fights for the minority. I guess doctors get paid by legal drug dealers (i.e. big pharma) so what else should we expect him to say? Except that today, the reality is that legal drugs (oxycodone et al) are killing more people than street drugs (shout out to Michael and Whitney).
