One week left for Subaru Hawaii’s ‘Share the Love’

MEDIA RELEASE

The race is on and the public will decide which Hawaii non-profit will win an additional $5,000 from Subaru Hawaii during the “Share the Love” sales event. In addition to the $5,000 donation to one lucky non-profit, for every new vehicle sold by Dec. 31, Subaru Hawaii will donate $250 to a group of great causes — Hawaii Wildlife Fund, Hawaii Literacy, Oahu SPCA, SPCA Maui and Hawaii Island Humane Society.

The public has an opportunity to vote for their favorite participating non-profit organization through Subaru Hawaii ’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SubaruHI

At the end of the sales event period, Subaru Hawaii will award the organization with the most votes an additional $5,000.

“We are delighted to be able to give back to the community with the help of Subaru owners, who are very active members of their communities, and the general public,” said Glenn Inouye, Senior Vice President, Servco representing the Subaru Hawaii Dealers. “It has been our pleasure to work with the five non-profit organizations during the ‘Share the Love’ event.”

Subaru Hawaii sells vehicles across a network of five dealership locations statewide — Big Island Subaru – Hilo and Kona; Island Subaru in Kahului; and Servco Subaru – Mapunapuna and Waialae.

Subaru is the only automotive manufacturer to receive the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IHS) Top Safety Picks for all models for the past two years. All Subaru products are built in zero-landfill production plants where 100 percent of waste is recycled or turned into electricity.

Your website “evaporated” from my screen while I went to get a drink of water. Just how impatient are you as a corporation?

My email pertains to your support of the Hawaii Island Humane Society, which euthanizes about 900 animals PER MONTH! Why you choose to support them is incomprehensible to me. I know times are bad and people at least try to do the right thing by surrendering their pets instead of abandoning or killing them. But there are several other no-kill options on the island, Rainbow, Tasha, etc. How about supporting them?

    Happy Holidays.
