Man dead after vehicle rolls over multiple times along Akoni Pule Highway

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 2:12 a.m. alarm Saturday (Dec 3) to a crash on the Akoni Pule Highway near the nine mile-marker. Rescue personnel found a 25 year-old man dead, still in the vehicle and wearing a seatbelt.

Fire dispatch reports that the vehicle had been travelling North on the highway, then drifted across the centerline and off the makai side of the road. The vehicle rolled over multiple times over 100 feet from where it left the roqd and came to a stop 40 feet from the highway.

There were no other injuries or roadblocks reported with the crash.
