Power will be HELCO announces that power along Kohala Mountain Road, Hawi Road, Kynnersley Road and Akoni Pule Highway (north of the 10 mile marker) will be shut-off from 10 p.m. Thursday (Nov 17) until 5 a.m. Friday (Nov 18). Crews will be making emergency repairs to the Waimea substation at this time.

HELCO recommends unplugging any sensitive equipment prior to the outage. Customers dependent on electric powered, life sustaining medical equipment should make necessary arrangements.
