Kealakehe, Konawaena suffer losses in state football tourney

The Kealakehe Waveriders hosted the Leilehua Mules Friday night (Nov 11) in Kona and suffered a 35-24 loss bringing their season to a close. Leilehua goes back to Oahu to face top seed Kahuku in a semi-final game at Aloha Stadium 7 p.m. Friday (Nov 18) in the state tournament.

The Konawaena Wildcats flew to Maui for their first round game against Lahainaluna at Maui’s War Memorial Stadium Saturday (Nov 12).

The third seed Lahainalunas defended their home turf with a 23-6 win against the Wildcats. Lahainaluna will meet second seed Waipahu Friday night on Oahu.
