Police searching for Puna man wanted for bench warrants

Big Island police are searching for a 45-year-old Puna man wanted on two bench warrants.

Erbin Gamurot of Pāhoa is wanted for contempt of court in shoplifting and traffic citation cases.

He is described as a local male, 5-foot-10, 185 pounds with brown eyes, salt-and-pepper hair and possibly a mustache and goatee.

Police ask than anyone with information on his whereabouts call Detective Grant Todd at 961-2385 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
