This is a weather update for Tuesday Nov. 1st

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Hawaii Island effective today through this evening

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that may lead to flash flooding. There is a potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Due to the flash flood watch the following are issued:

• Residents in flood prone areas as asked to be prepared for and be on the lookout for flood conditions.
• Motorists should drive with caution and be on the alert for ponding and debris on the roadways.
• Be aware that road closures can occur without warning.
