By Hawaii 24/7 Staff

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 10:56 p.m. alarm Wednesday (Oct 12) for a structure fire in Milolii.

Firefighters found a two-story oceanfront home on fire. Two engine companies and two tanker units worked to put out the blaze which was under control by 3 a.m. and out at 6:30 a.m. Thursday. Fighting the fire was made difficult since it was reported that the closest fire hydrant was located in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates.

There was nobody home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The home was a total loss.
