fake Twitter message

fake Twitter message

The shortened link will send users to a fake Twitter page like the one below.

Fake twitter page (URL is obscured for your safety)

Fake twitter page (URL is obscured for your safety)

The webpage address for the page has the wrong URL and has twitter.com spelled wrong. The page is set-up to harvest usernames and passwords.

If you think you may have entered your username and password into this page please go to the real Twitter webpage at http://twitter.com and change your password immediately.

Many people use the same password for multiple accounts online and may thus make these other accounts vulnerable to unauthorized access.
