Fire/rescue crews responded to a 5:25 p.m. alarm Thursday (Sept 8) for a missing hunter located in the forested hunting area behind the Volcano transfer station.
The 56 year-old man wasn’t familiar with the area and had gone off the trail. The man was located by the Fire Department’s Chopper One and ground crews were able to walk with the man out of the forest.
There were no injuries reported and fire crews were back in quarters by 8:22 p.m.
