Hawaii County Police ask that motorists avoid Highway 11 at the Ohai Road intersection due to a downed tree blocking the roadway.

The downed tree will require a detour of traffic in Naalehu.

Police expect the roadway to be cleared for traffic by 2-3 p.m. today.

The downed tree in Naalehu has been cleared and Highway 11 has been re-opened to traffic.
