The Lions Club of Kona recently hosted it’s annual officer installation at Teshima’s.

The following officers and directors were installed for year 2011-2012:

President: Bob Lovin
1st Vice President: Mitch Tam
2nd Vice President: Cordell Waahila
3rd Vice President: David Bowden
Secretary: Kawika Marquez
Treasurer: Steven Kaneko
1 Year Board of Directors: Jack Vore, Norma Matsumoto, and Allen Eggleston
2 Year Directors: Michelle Lee and Jean Bevan Marquez.
Past International Director: Maurice Kahawaii
Lion Tamer: Michelle Lee
Membership Chair: Stan Tokunaga

The Lions Club of Kona also celebrated its 77th anniversary June 19 and is the third oldest club in Hawaii.

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
