High surf advisory extended until Friday morning (June 24)

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the high surf advisory for the South shores of all Hawaiian islands along with Northern and Eastern shores of the Big Island until 6 a.m. Friday (June 24).

Surf of seven to nine feet is forecast which may cause large breaking waves, dangerous rip currents and beach erosion. Beachgoers are advised to stay out of the water along the affected shores.
