Photos from the Kamehameha Festival Saturday (June 11) at Moku Ola (Island of Life) in Hilo, commonly known as Coconut Island in Hilo Bay. The Festival featured four-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner Mark Yamanaka. Other groups and hula hālau included Komakakino, Ricky Alaniz, Stan Kaina and the ladies of Leo Nahenahe O Pohai Kealoha, Hālau Ha‘a Kea o Kinohi, and Hālau Ke Ola Pono No Nā Kupuna. The Festival also featured cultural practitioners, an oli (Chant) exhibition, a Pū (Seashell) blowing contest, food and arts and craft vendors.

The event was put on by the Royal Order of Kamehameha I Mamalahoa.
