Former Kamehameha Hawaii Campus baseball player Kolten Wong was selected in the first round in today’s Major League Baseball draft, picked as the 22nd overall player by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Kolten played the past three seasons at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he was a three time Western Athletic Conference first team All-American. He is considered to be one of the best pure hitters in this year’s draft.
