The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a High Surf Advisory for South facing shores of Kona on the Big Island starting Tuesday (May 24) at 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday (May 25).
Wave heights of five to eight feet are expected and may cause rip currents an beach erosion.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday (May 26) for Maalaea Bay, Pailolo Channel, Alehuihaha Channel, Big Island leeward waters and Southeast waters.
