West Hawaii Explorations Academy graduated 27 seniors Friday evening in its largest class ever.

Students will go on to study at University of Hawaii and several mainland colleges. More than 80 percent of the students enrolled in college-level courses during their senior year.

Among the seniors was Kyra Boyle, who already has written a novel and plans to continue writing.

“We are an extremely passionate and diverse class,” she said. “When we get onto something, watch out because are gonna go for it.”

Quote of the Day: ‘We’re ready for the future. Bring it on.’ – CJ LeMasters, Class of 2011
