2011 Big Island Graduation Dates

Get ready to start picking those flowers and making those lei as commencement exercises for students are coming up soon. A round-up of graduation dates for Big Island high schools, community schools and colleges. Graduation season runs from May 13 through July 9, 2011.

Graduates should check with their schools as to what time they need to show-up on graduation day. The list below contains start times for commencement exercises.

Friday (May 13)
7 p.m. Hawaii Community College, Manono Campus at Edith Kanakaole Multi-Purpose Stadium

Saturday (May 14)
9 a.m. University of Hawaii at Hilo, Edith Kanakaole Multi-Purpose Stadium

10 a.m. Hawaii Preparatory Academy at HPA School Gym – Ninety-eight graduating seniors will take part in the program. Headmaster Lindsay Barnes will preside. Lupe Diaz, Upper School math teacher, will deliver commencement address.
