The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory for the Big Island until 5:45 p.m. This advisory may be extended if heavy rains continue.

A nearly stationary thunderstorm near Waikii produced rainfall at two inches/hour Sunday afternoon (May 8).

Motorists are urged to use caution when driving due to ponding and water crossing roadways.
