Suspects in credit card case

Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals wanted for unauthorized use of a credit card.

The card was used without permission at various businesses in Hilo and Puna on March 19. A man and woman were were captured on a surveillance video using the card.

The woman is described as Hawaiian, heavy set, 5-feet tall to 5-foot-3, with shoulder-length brown hair. She may have a tattoo on her upper back that says “Destiny” and “Serenity.”

Her companion is described as a local male, 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall with a medium build.

Police ask that anyone with information on their identities call Officer Jared Cabatu at the Police Department’s non-emergency line, 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
