HI5 recycling hours to change Friday (April 1)

MEDIA RELEASE

The county’s HI5 Redemption Centers will resume normal business hours effective April 1, 2011, following the transfer of operations to a new vendor.

Business Services Hawaii has been awarded the contract to operate the 10 Certified Redemption Centers located at county transfer stations. We thank you for your patience during the transition.

Keaau Transfer Station            Mon/ Wed/ Fri/ Sat/ Sun   8am – 4:30pm
Kealakehe (Kona) Transfer Station  Open Daily                8am – 4:30pm
Keauhou  Transfer Station          Tues, Thurs, Sat & Sun    8am – 4:30pm
Pahoa Transfer Station             Sat & Sun                 8am – 4:30pm
Puako Transfer Station             Sundays only              8am – 4:30pm
Waimea Transfer Station            Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun  8am – 4:30pm

*Redemption Centers closed daily from 1:00-1:30pm for lunch.

**Holiday Closures:  Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day & New Years Day

    I hope transfer station HI5 will keep ARC folks employed. They try their hardest and it seems to be a good bridge employment opportunity for many.
    I really don’t KNOW for sure, but it seems this way.
