Flash flood watch issued for Big Island Saturday (March 5)

This is a weather update for Saturday March 5th.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Hawaii island through this evening. A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. There is a possibility of isolated thunderstorms and heavy rain showers throughout the day.

Residents and motorists should be on the alert for flooding conditions and if lightning is affecting your area, it is recommended that you remain indoors and unplug electrical devices. Thank you.
