Vulcans sweep PacWest weekly honors

After a 3-2 series win, the University of Hawaii at Hilo swept the Pacific West Conference baseball weekly honors with Keoni Manago being named Player of the Week and Kekoa Lee tagged as Pitcher of the Week.

Manago (Senior, 5-9, 180, OF, R/R, Honolulu, HI/Roosevelt) led the Vulcans by hitting .500 in five starts. He went 11 for 22 with six runs, two doubles, a triple, four RBI and a .682 slugging percentage. He also posted a .500 on-base mark.

Lee (Senior, 5-9, 185, P/OF, L/L, Waipahu, HI/Moanalua) struck out eight, permitted just three earned runs on four base hits and walked two in 5.0 innings of work and claimed the victory in 22-5 rout of Patten University(CA) in season opener. Opponents hit just .222. As the designated player in that game, he was 5 for 6 with four RBI, a home run and five runs scored.
