Girls Soccer: HPA settles for 3rd; Kamehameha 4th

Punahou outlasted Iolani, 2-1, to earn the Division I girls soccer state championship Saturday on Oahu.

No. 4 seed Hilo and Kealakehe were knocked out of contention early in the tournament.

Mid-Pacific won the Division II state championship with a 3-2 victory against Kauai.

Also in Division II, HPA topped Kamehameha Schools Hawaii, 2-0, as the teams wound up third and fourth, respectively, in state.

Honokaa and Seabury Hall battled to a 1-1 draw and split the fifth place honors.
