UH-Hilo invites feedback on draft mission, vision

MEDIA RELEASE

The University of Hawaii at Hilo is currently undertaking a strategic planning exercise and welcomes feedback and comments on its draft mission and vision.

“The first step in this exercise is to revise UH-Hilo’s mission (the University’s purpose) and vision (our aim for 2020) and we’d like to invite feedback from students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members and other partners,” said Sian Millard, UH-Hilo strategic planning facilitator. “We want to stress that these draft statements are just that – draft – and we now welcome and encourage constructive comments on them.”

UH-Hilo draft mission: “Aohe pau ka ike i ka halau hookah,” or “One learns from many sources”

UH-Hilo is committed to interactive learning, discovery, and creativity to benefit our increasingly intercultural communities.
