.THE APPROACH OF AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH FROM THE WEST WILL CAUSE SUMMIT TEMPERATURES TO DROP BELOW FREEZING FRIDAY NIGHT. ABUNDANT MOISTURE MOVING UP FROM THE SOUTH ALONG WITH THE COLD TEMPERATURES MEANS POSSIBLE HEAVY SNOW FRIDAY NIGHT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HONOLULU HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING.

SNOWFALL IN EXCESS OF 6 INCHES IS POSSIBLE ABOVE 12 THOUSAND FEET.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW…SLEET…OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.
