…HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM HST THURSDAY…

SURF ALONG WEST FACING SHORES OF OAHU WILL BE 12 AND 18 FEET THROUGH THURSDAY.

SURF ALONG NORTH FACING SHORES OF THE BIG ISLAND WILL BE 15 FEET THROUGH THURSDAY.

SURF ALONG EAST FACING SHORES OF THE BIG ISLAND WILL BE 6 TO 12 FEET THROUGH THURSDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN THE ADVISORY AREA…PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION. FORECAST SURF HEIGHTS ARE ESTIMATES OF THE HEIGHT OF THE FACE…OR FRONT…OF WAVES.
